This project aims at taking Wannacry Ransomware Virus as an example to highlight the importance of computer security.

This project achieved the following:

• Introduced the ransomware virus and when it outbroke.
• Provided the technical information needed to understand the attack.
• Demonstrated how the attack was conducted by launching a mock attack.
• Analyzed people and organizations that got affected, the damage that the virus caused, and the victims’ responses towards the attack.
• Showed the computer security lessons learned from the attack.
